We are sending you our best regards from Slovakia. After a long snowy winter, the summer is coming, and we have decided to offer you a possibility of learning the Slovak language - one of the EU languages, and of getting to know the beauty of Slovakia – a country in the heart of Europe.

We organise a Slovak language course within the frame of a study, travel and relaxation stay called

 

SLOVAK LANGUAGE IN SLOVAKIA

 

Date:                1 – 19 August 2005

Place:               Košice, Slovak Republic

Tuition:     400 EUR which includes: instruction, study materials, registration, entrance test, course certificate, welcome packet, orientation trip to the Košice centre, transport from the Košice airport or railway station to the place of stay

Lodging:    In the hotel section of the Students Hostel of the Technical University in Košice. Lodging has so called cell system, i.e. two rooms have one common bathroom and toilet.

A)   400 SKK (approx. 10.5 EUR) /day in single or double rooms. Each room is furnished with a TV and a radio/cassette player. A refrigerator is shared by the two rooms within a cell. The charge for the whole stay is approximately 210 EUR.

B)   250 SKK (approx. 6.5 EUR)/day in single or double rooms. The charge for the whole stay is approximately 132 EUR.

Board:       Breakfast and lunch are available right in the Students Hostel.  There is a possibility to choose from several meals. Price of meals depends on your choice. Supper - individually.

Study:       According to the results of entrance tests the participants will be divided into study groups – beginners, intermediate level (max. 6 students in a group).

                Slovak language – 20 lessons/week (4 lessons/day)

Extra-curricular  activities:   A detailed plan of afternoon and weekend activities (lectures, chat-meetings, trips) will be provided at the beginning of the course. The trips outside Košice will incur an extra charge.

Planned afternoon activities:

-                                      seeing sights of the Košice centre accompanied by a professional tourist guide

-                                      visiting the historic building of the State Theatre of J. Borodáč in Košice

-                                      practical shows of historical crafts

-                                      seeing the cold geyser in Herľany

-                                      visiting the cave of Jasov

-                                      sports activities in Košice surroundings (golf, swimming, bob-sled track, cycling...)

-        Vysoké Tatry

-        Slovenský Raj

-        Krásna Hôrka and Betliar manor house

-        Bardejovské Kúpele - spa

-        Pieniny and Červený Kláštor

-        Spišský castle

Requirements

 

There are no special requirements.  SLOVAK LANGUAGE IN SLOVAKIA  is open to any person worldwide provided they are in  a good health and older than 15 years.

Step 2 - Acceptance

 

Within 7 days of receiving your Application, we will send you an Acceptance Notice.

 

Step 3 – Welcome Information

 

After payment for tuition is affected, you will be provided with Welcome Information.
